Ashton Kutcher To Join ‘Two and a Half Men’ CBS and Warner Bros. Television announced that Ashton Kutcher will join the cast of "Two and a Half Men" next season, replacing Charlie Sheen."I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes," said Kutcher in a press release. "I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"Lorre himself expressed only positive sentiments, saying "We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family. Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal."Kutcher won’t be playing Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper. Sources say that Lorre has come up with a way to introduce Kutcher’s character that will satisfy CBS and Warner Bros. Inside word from those close to the show also indicates that the sitcom is heading into production ASAP. |
